Nana Cardoon Urban Farm Learning Center
Nestled in the heart of Forest Grove, Nana Cardoon is an urban homestead that offers opportunities to explore and learn about artisanal food production from soil to seed and farm to table. The site is densely packed with garden beds, a berry patch, ducks and chickens, a small orchard, and grain trial patches. The outdoor kitchen boasts an earth oven, a variety of wood-fired stoves, a bicycle-powered grain grinder, and a plethora of strange and wonderful cooking utensils collected from the world over.
We work with and within a variety of settings through partnerships with local organizations and sites. This ensures a beautiful mosaic of learning opportunites and experiences, while showing learners the many wonders and resources within their own community. Whether you seek an experience connecting to our peasant ancestry through preparing and sharing a meal on an urban farm, studying pollinators, exploring the amazing diversity of the Oregon forests, streams, and valleys, EdenAcres can help design the perfect learning adventure for you and your students.
